February Blog

Hello all,

Its February now and all the holiday bills for the festive seasons are in, and the New Year Resolutions are still fresh... as for me thank God I did not have any new resolutions for the year because the hotel business in Vancouver is really heating up!

During the month of February we are having some great friends staying with us… our friends at Buildex 2008, Delta Chi Fraternity, Sea to Sky Cheering Leading.

Also recently we had some interesting guests stay with us that really made me appreciate what a truly great guest is again.

An American gentleman who shall remain nameless recently stayed with us and after he checked in and came back from his package dinner deal at the Top of Vancouver restaurant he brought me back a sample take-out pack from the restaurant because he said it was so good that I would not believe it! He decided to order a lobster dinner for me so I could taste for myself how great the dinners are there.

He calls me the Pitbull. Here is his very own testimonial for me that he put on the guest comment card! “ The “Pitbull” was very friendly and helpful and he made us feel very welcome, we look forward to staying again.”

Yes I am blowing my own horn here, but you have to admit, great guests make managing a hotel so much more enjoyable.

Now I want to know what your opinion is in what is a kind gift to give a guest when you appreciate them with out looking like you are sucking up to them? Any ideas? Are can you go too far? Leave a comment or an idea for me!

Next month I want to talk about the line from Clint Eastwood, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, and put the Guest Comments on the blog and would need your feed back to improve our guest services, and you would graded them:
G: for Good
B: for Bad
U: for Ugly
So here the comments:

Thank you and good luck with your new years resolutions!
